2026: Mehrsprachigkeit im deutsch-französischen Kontext / Le plurilinguisme dans le contexte germano-français

Multilingualism in the Franco-German Context

Edited by Johannes Müller-Lancé and Eric Castagne

Selected papers from an international conference held at the University of Mannheim on June 19–20, 2024, organized by the Research Group on Multilingualism and Intercomprehension at the Universities of Reims Champagne-Ardenne and Mannheim.

This anthology brings together papers from the second colloquium of the same name, which was once again organized and conducted in collaboration with the two editors as part of the partnership between the Universities of Reims Champagne-Ardenne and Mannheim, and which again addressed issues of cross-border linguistic and cultural contact.

In its first section, the volume focuses on the status of German and French in each neighboring country, as well as the specific need for cross-border communication in health and safety contexts. The second section features contributions on the (threatened) teaching of the respective neighboring language and on the use of AI applications in French language instruction.
